S&W repair turnaround time?
Anyone send something back to S&W recently? Covid impact? I was kinda hoping for six weeks, when I'll need a firearm. I sent back an M69 with late timing. Faster to purchase a backup firearm?
curiously,

Invoiced can take a month or more just for the estimate..

If I had a need to get it back on a specific date, I would make sure that the Supervisor knew what that date was and what the reason was.
If you fall into the Qualified Individual category, I would make sure that they knew that as well

You never know. Depends on their workload. But as you mentioned BEARS, a thread on best caliber is required! The latest updated thread is a J frame 357 mag is all ya need!

I have two in for repair. My mod. 69 has been done for over two weeks and I am still waiting for them to ship it to me. I call every week and get the same answer, It will be shipped Friday or next week. I did not call today though. Maybe tomorrow or next week.

Mine went in about the same time as COVID crisis hit. Sounds like they are not going to warranty it. Still waiting on the estimate from the performance center.

Its been my experience that they rot in the mail room for a week or two after repairs are confirmed. My wait continues... I'm still optimistic.

I'm happy to hear about the turn around times posted. I called them 2 weeks ago and they said up to 6 months. That has kept me from sending my revolver back so far.
