Default A new loading tool for K-frames

Hello

This is a mixture of speed strip and speedloader.
3D prints in one part.
No moving parts, only bending parts.

Youtube demo:

KULLI™ - a K-frame S&W revolver loading aid by h0rstik4inen - Thingiverse

Tested on the range. I built 13 loaders, loaded them full, went to range, used them. One cracked a part when printed from hard PLA plastic. Cost per unit : 15c so I just ditched it.

No preview photos, I switched from Mac to Windows10 and ... everything is now painful to do. Like copying a couple of photos to imgur.

You load 3 rounds twice.

PROs:
No need for a speed loader cut in the grip.
No need for a clip cut in the cylinder.
Cheap.
Simple.
Faster than speedstrips where you load 2 rounds 3 times.

CONs: slower than moonclips or speedloaders.

I haven't seen a thing just like these before so, have fun. It seems to be an original idea.

How durable is the plastic you are using? I have purchased some 3D parts for model kits and found the plastic used to be very brittle.
Do you have choices for the plastic you use ?

I love to see people who invent as necessity or to solve a problem. This design could work however the problem will be materials since the cases are captured by spring tension and removed pushing through spring tension. So just spitballing here but you need a plastic or material with a known fatigue life against breakage or stretch. The buyer then knows approximately when the loader is worn out and replacements are needed. Pricing should be commensurate with the loaders life cycle. Find the right material and test test test at every caliber at 100° and 20° cause plastics act differently at different temps.

Good luck
Rick
