I have a Smython that uses a square butt 686-3 frame and Python Elite Barrel. The thing shoots so sweet.
I want to put on a full length rear sight assembly so that there is not a gap between the height of the Python Barrel Rib and the S&W top Strap.
No one has the 2.5” 686 rear sight assembly which goes the full length of the Top Strap.
Numrich does have a Rear Sight Assembly for a 2” model 15, and on the 2” model 15, the rear sight goes the entire length of the frame because the sight ramp starts where the barrel meets the frame. All snubbies with a Target rear sight do this.
Can anyone tell me if the model 15 rear sight for the 2” gun would cover the entire front strap of a 686?
My gut says no. My gut says that the frame of the L Frame 686 is slightly longer then the frame of the K Frame 15.
