Default 325 Thunder Ranch Barrel Change

I purchased a 325 Thunder Ranch but did not receive the owners manual. How does one remove the inner barrel? I have two tools, a hollow rod and small metal bar with half moon bend. How does this work?

Welcome to the Forum

You are asking a scary question.

One that many of us may not want to answer because you are new to the Forum and we have no idea of your skill set or the tools that you have on hand

Why do you want to remove the barrel?

The barrel is not a part that is serviceable by the end user. The barrel's removal is not listed in the instruction manual

Barrel removal and installation is a job for a gun smith

Do you own a spanner wrench?

That is the tool that is necessary to remove the barrel nut.

Once the barrel nut is removed, just slide the shroud off the barrel.

Then the barrel can be unscrewed from the frame.

The barrel on a revolver is not generally a user serviceable part, there is no reason to remove the barrel for general maintenance. The tools you describe sound like the items used for loading and unloading the moon clips.

Also, if I’m not mistaken, the barrel shroud has a hidden protrusion that mates with the frame, if you try to unscrew the barrel like a traditional revolver you will damage the shroud, and possibly more.
