Default Odd cylinder stop

I bought a cylinder stop off Ebay but it's trigger notch and bevel are wrong. i know it won't fit and the seller is taking it back but I was wondering if anyone had seen one like it before? The top one in the picture is the original, the bottom one is the oddball.

Never seen one like that. Very interesting. Perhaps for a S&W clone or other copy?

I wondered if it might be a prototype for SA or DAO but could not see how it would work.

It might be out of a Taurus or Rossi. They have some parts similar, but not the same.

I don't think it was bubba'd, it had no polish when I got it. But I think Protocall_Design called it. The pictures I found, via Google, of Taurus stops look almost dead on. It's almost like someone re-cut a S&W CS to fit a Taurus.
