Default Who can simulate barrel roll marks?

I have a vintage new unfinished barrel I'd like to have "Smith & Wesson" and the caliber stamped on the sides. It's for a fun one of a kind project, so it doesn't need to be exactly like factory markings.

I'd prefer deep stamps on this one.
I already checked with Turnbull. He has no interest.
Sources? Suggestions?

I'd check with Fords custom refinishing in FL

Turnbull can do it, but I’m not sure they will. You’d have to call them.

Of course a roll die is the original method and only proper restoration method. I'm sure there's others besides Turnbull that have had the dies reproduced. Bowen comes to mind as a possibility. Might have to call around and ask some of the top restorers.

The only other methods to simulate barrel markings are etching and engraving.

Etching is cheaper and can actually replicate factory roll marks the best. It's a simple process, can be done at home, and can utilize actual images of factory markings of the correct vintage, pulled from internet photos to create an accurate template.

Engraving can be done well, but can still be detected from across a table.

Hope that's helpful,
