S&W Gun Smith Needed
Are there anymore good revolver smiths left in the DFW area?
I called Gene Williams and he is no longer working on revolvers. If anyone knows a good one please let me know. Thanks

I don't know if he works on revolvers , but BMCM (Bill) is a master gunsmith . He's worked wonders on my S&W's that he's worked on . You can contact him here on the Forum , he's a member .

Contact Mike@ " Mikes Gun Room " in Richardson Tx . He has an old school gunsmith name " Mark " that works through his shop . He is the best I have ever used and I've used him several times . In fact he just finished a job for me on my 19 snubbie . I couldn't be happier .
BTW: Mike , a former Marine Major , has been in business for over 25 yrs . 2 days ago ( the 10th) 3 BM's came in , put guns to his head and robbed him . Be aware of someone trying to sell a bunch of hand guns in the DFW area , or further , they could be stolen . Regards, Paul

That’s a good idea, I’ll drop in. By the way, I read Mike shot one of the bad guys in the robbery. Didn’t know they got away with any guns.

As a follow up, thanks for recommending Mike's to me. I left my 340PD with him to give to Mark, and it took a while to repair because Mark had to order a part, but when I got it back it worked perfectly. This was my first experience dealing with a broken part on a S&W. I was a bit skeptical leaving my gun with a guy I never met, but all seems to have turned out well. Thanks again for turning my on to Mike's. Not much of a store, but a good gun smith contact. By the way, did you ever get Mark's phone number? I talked to him on the phone, but I never got his number. Thanks

shooter 1911 , No , I have never talked to Mark so I don't have his phone number . I just leave my item with Mike , telling him what I am needing . Mike had a much bigger / better inventory before the robbery .
I'm glad all worked out well for you . Mark is the best I have ever used .
Regards, Paul

I would simply contact Mike , tell him what the problem is . Have you FFL send it to him and let Mark fix it . Mark is truly the " best " for S&W's , in my honest opinion . In the past when I lived in Az and didn't have a local gunsmith , I had to send back to the factory . I had good experience and bad experience with factory work ---- no more . I would rather spend my money once , knowing it will be fixed right . Mark will get any and all of my work . Regards Paul

Ditto on Paul's statement. Worked out well for me with my frozen 340PD cylinder. Mark is fair priced also. Or you could drive down here and leave your gun with Mile. If you decide to do that let me know so I can get you to drop by Bayou Bullets and pick up my order that's been in the works forever. They are in Reserve, LA.

I took two S&W revolvers to Mike Brown's gunshop for repairs on a Wednesday. They were fixed right and ready to be picked up the following Wednesday. Price was very reasonable.
