Default WonderSight on a 38/44 Oh Yeah!

On an early thread below a member was asking about
dealing with a fixed sight Smith and front sight mods on a nickel Smith.
The thoughts evolved from fr sight help/adjust and
later to adding a wondersight. Having never heard of
old school Wondersights I looked into them and ordered
one last week for my 38/44 fixed sight.
I received it and proceeded today to mount the sight.
After scratching my admitedly hardhead I carefully
(small parts) assembled the sight by the instructions.
Not bad after you figure small pcs out to put it rogether.
I love the old school creation on this sight piece.
Sure looks neat on the 38/44. I would not use it on a
duty piece because of the nature of it, but should be fine
on a collector Smith for casual shooting.
Below are some pics on the 38/44 set up..Enjoying Something new for Me.
Best Randy..

These are the first better pics that came out upside down.
Hopefully someone can turn'em right side up.
Apologies, I usually compensate for the orientation.
Thanks Randy.

Here’s your pictures turned upright. Beautiful HD with or without the WonderSight, but that gold picture box looks like it just came off the production line!

Hello Terry
Thanks for fixing the pictures. Much appreciated!
Interesting deal on the like new 38/44 4 inch box. Short while back I was corresponding with an online seller.
He bought at least 2 gold boxes from someone that had
several that were part of a group of gold
boxes being sold as part of an estate/or gun parts buy, as I know it. I was asking about S&W stuff and the boxes came up. Fortunately I was able to aquire it very reasonably for my 38/44. Thanks for the thoughtful compliment.
Best Randy.
