Default Victory cylinder not latching

I have a S&W Victory that has me stumped. With the cylinder closed, I am able to swing it open without pressing the cylinder release. Timing and lockup is correct, and cylinder rotates fine. I have replaced the bolt, bolt plunger and spring, center pin, and both springs in the cylinder. I have also replaced the bolt lock spring (the lock at the muzzle end of the ejector rod). In addition to this, with the cylinder closed, the center pin is not pushing the cylinder release to the rear. I have to manually hold the release to the rear to cycle the action. Any help would be much appreciated.

The center pin is not entering the hole provided for it in the breechface when the cylinder is closed. I would guess the yoke is misaligned to the point where the center pin cannot (will not) enter the cavity.

You were absolutely correct, sir. I found out which way it was binding by putting pressure on the cylinder, and watching the cylinder release. Pressing on the top of the cylinder allowed the center pin to push the bolt to the rear. Tweaked the yoke in that direction, and problem solved. Thank you again.
