Default Model 629 8 3/8" Cerakoted

An online website has a model 629 8 3/8" Cerakoted. The product description states "timing issues most likely due to the Cerakote". The revolver has been listed for an extended length of time.

The cons:
The timing issue
The posted price is too high
It is mud fence ugly

The pros:
?
?
?

Can cerakote be removed? What about the cerakote debris?

Is this project too much for a lousy excuse for a gunsmith "me" to take on?

First off I don't know why someone would cerakote a stainless gun, but it can be removed by bead blasting. The timing issue may or not be due to the coating but honestly I don't see that being the reason.
I guess the bottom line for me would be the cost I wouldn't take on a project like that unless it was bargain priced.
