Default V or U Rear Sight for Adjustable J-Frame

I have a J-Frame with adjustable rear sights. I can't find anyone offering a V type express or U blade to match up to the gold dot I put on the front sight. They are available for K,L and N frames but I'm striking out on the J frames.

Does anyone know of a source?

Thanks

Buy a J frame rear sight blade replacement kit. Get the notch in the new blade tig welded up.

Clean up welding, then install on the gun. Refile a V or U notch of your choice, and cold blue the blade.

I've been a pistol shooter my whole life (50 years+) even competed in NRA Bullseye Match and won a few trophies ... I can shoot !
The shallow Vee rear sight and Hi-Viz front sight that came on a 317 kit gun bought in 2005 ... just seemed like a great and wonderful idea !
The truth is that set-up just sucks rocks so badly it isn't funny... I can normally shoot 1" groups at 25 feet but that stinking shallow Vee is hard to get a precise bead ... I have a lot of trouble hitting a coke can at 15 feet !!!!
As soon as I have the chance ( some day) I would love to get that stinking Vee off there and get a proper notch ... the Hi-Viz front I think I can live with ... a nice wide U notch would be so much better than that shallow vee ... I mean it has to be better !

The 4" 325/327/329 PD revolvers all shipped with a V-notch rear sight.

After one trip to the range I know it does not work for me

The factory sent me a square notch replacement kit at no charge.

As to the J-frames, I can not recall the factory ever offering a V or U notch rear blade.

Hondo44 has a good plan to make it yourself

As an alternative, you might acquire the larger style V or U notch that you like and file it down to J-frame dimensions. This would only require bluing of the sight's sides

I have been quite happy with the adjustable J-frame sighttes. But then, I never had a adjustable sight J-frame where I could easily change out the front sight. 25 yard head shots on B-27 targets is entirely feasible with the factory supplied sights
