Default Gunsmith recommendation

Suggestions on gunsmith that can perform all the work listed, that people have personally used and have been pleased with the work performed by said gunsmith. All the finish work will be performed by Fords plating.

I have 4 revolvers that I would like to have work performed on, but I don't trust Smith And Wesson to perform the work. I don’t mind paying for the work. Selling the guns I have isn’t a option as I don’t want pay what these guns value would be if I bought originals not to mention I want to carry these, so I don't care about shooting them or running rounds through them. They’ll shoot 38sp + p most of the time but I want to maybe load mixed 3 38sp+p and 3 357mag sometimes. These guns will be passed down to my boys later on.

1. Model 19-4 3" barrel, round butt. It needs action work and timing and ratchet/hand fitted and b/c gap corrected.

2. Model 66-2 2.5” barrel, round butt that I would like to have a 3” k comp mod 66 barrel installed and action work and timing and ratchet/hand fitted and b/c gap corrected.

3. Model 10-7 round butt that I would like to have model 65 barrel and cylinder installed and action work and timing and ratchet/ hand fitted and b/c gap corrected.

4. Model 66-4 5” square butt converted to round butt and 3” v- comp barrel installed and action work and timing and ratchet/hand fitted and b/c gap corrected.

S&W wouldn’t even touch that.

My father gave me a 1966 Ford f100 pick up truck as a daily driver and I found the gun in the truck under the seat. When I asked him about it he said it was trash and to throw it away. Like where’s the recycle receptacle for handguns. But I kept it cause he said he bought the gun a long time ago and left it in the truck and it rusted severely. I found the revolver in summer of 1986, it’s always been complete, so I believe it to be original. I know that I could get a factory letter to determine that, but I’m not gonna pay for that as I’m not concerned about the value or rarity of the revolver. It has some sentimental value to me. The finish was bad when I got the gun and it was complete. The cylinder and frame was pitted badly as it was laying on the left side for a long time rusted and pitted.

You seem to be confirming that it is indeed a factory original 3", round butt Model 19-4. If so, that is an incredible find; quite rare, which might influence what you choose to do with it. Would love to see pics...

I’m gonna have them rebuilt for edc and shoot the snot out of them with 38spc+P and load some magnums in them from time to time. I don’t have collector guns all my weapons are shot frequently.

Oh I understand -- not trying to talk you out of it. But if you have what you say you have, you clearly don't know what you have.

Pics?

Oh I know, tbh the value of the gun is next to nothing due how badly pitted the frame/cylinder was but I had it temp controlled tig welded and drawfiled back to shape. Obviously it’s not worth anything but I’m gonna send it off to have it refinished and all the action work and extra performed
