Default Hand Ejector rod unscrews CW?

1903 .32 Hand Ejector circa 1915
Does the ejector rod unscrew clockwise looking at the rod end nut?
Thanks! Having fun cleaning and restoring a decent old gun.

Looking at the rod end ..... it is my understanding that ejector rods on all S&W revolvers up to around 1960 were RH threads (clockwise to tighten). After that time the were LH (counter-clockwise to tighten). However I'm more familiar with post-war models so am not absolutely sure about early 1900's revolvers. There may be some folks on this forum that can verify the early 1900's design.

OutWest50 is mostly correct. All K and N frames did originate with right hand threads until changed to LHT in an ~ 1959-60 transition period. Of course all new models introduced since then have LHT.

However, I frames have a different evolutionary history; they also did originate with right hand threads. However they transitioned to LHT when reintroduced in the immediate years following the end of WWII.

The J frame originated with left hand threads in 1950.
