Default Change barrel on 686

I bought this a while ago and love shooting it. One thing I would like to change is the barrel. This was a custom job by someone. Not sure who.

Do you have any recommendations on where to get the parts and if I should do this

686 I believe 4 1/4”. Serial start ADY

I would look for a period correct barrel from eBay. Also I’m not sure about that ejector rod, it looks a little short

Looks like a 686 no-dash. I agree looking for a period correct barrel makes sense. Any particular reason you want to restore it to factory?

You might be better off finding a stock 686 to your liking, buying it and then moving this one along.

Nonetheless, you can certainly do this, if by that you mean have someone who knows what they're doing removing and replacing a revolver barrel do it. Not for the inexperienced...
