Default Hammer Swap

Has anybody put a hammer from a model 34 into a model 317 no lock 2 1/2 barrel? Thanks for any help.

Not me. Should be a drop in if the 317 doesn't have an MIM hammer.

I sent mine back to S&W for a hammer swap. It wasn't cheap, but it was done well and made a world of difference when cocking the gun. They sent back the original so now I have everything together. Good luck and I think you'll appreciate the difference.
