I noticed on Brownells they sell 5,11, and 18 degree chamfering tools.....any opinions on this?

I noticed on Brownells they sell 5,11, and 18 degree chamfering tools.....any opinions on this?

What you're refering to are cutters for the barrel forcing cone, which also gets called a chamfer. A 45 degree chamfer is usually used for chamber entries in revolvers.

Please provide more info on this 45 degree chamfer, I have never heard of it.

Brownell's (and others) sell piloted cutters so cut a chamfer(or beveled edge) on revolver chamber mouths to help facilitate fast reloads.
