Default Reassembling Without Firing Pin

Just curious, could you reassemble a S&W 3rd Gen, a Glock, or an AR15 without the firing pin, and rack the slide or charging handle of the weapon without doing damage?

I work in a law enforcement explorers program in a local high school and the school doesn’t want any chance of a “I’m the only one qualified enough to handle a firearm”. It won’t be my weapons. The local cop has no issue with it. I’ve taken the firing pins out of all those types of weapons but never put them back together without them.

On a S&W 3rd gen, yes, absolutely.

I have not tried on a Glock or AR15.
