Hammer Extension for Model 29
I was just curious of any of you have used a hammer extension on any of your firearms. I am talking about the kind that has a slot that fits over the hammer and uses a set screw to lock it down. You see them more on rifles that have a scope mounted than on handguns. Here is a link with a photo of what I am talking about.

I am considering one for my Model 29 so that I can reach the hammer with my non-shooting hand and thumb cock the hammer single action. many people can do this without any kind of extension but my digits are too short for that.
Any thoughts or shares would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Find one compatible with an N-frame S&W (Any S&W revolver), and post a photo or link and post, and maybe someone will post an opinion! (Hint, you aren't going to find one!!!)
I have a hard time believing you cannot thumb-cock the gun with your left thumb when using a normal two-handed hold, you probably need to have someone show you how to hold the gun properly!

1. First of all, what you believe or don't believe was not what I was asking for and isn't important.
2. I'm pretty confident that I know how to hold the gun properly.
3. Actually, I found one. Here is a link to one compatible with a Model 29.
GrovTec US Thompson Center Contender, S&W Model 29 Hammer Extension GTHM79 895474001796 | eBay
4. I was asking for serious input or experiences of other shooters, not condescending remarks or opinions that are not meant to be helpful.

Yes, that's a nice one. I had a different model hammer extension on a lever action I had that had a scope in the way. I think it was made by Williams.
