Default Model 66 front sight

So I send my 66-4 to factory for tuning.
Get it back and front sight is new, but now its black instead of red.
My question is, is black on black sights a thing?

A thing?????

You need to ask them why the sight change?

I presume by by "red" you a red insert, is that correct?

You can get a red insert installed in the new black sight if you want.

Yes.
As far as sw tune-up, I'm sure it was an overlook.
I didn't complain because I can certainly do it myself.
It was just curious.

I have already sent it back (unrelated).
I didn't want to bug the tech because it's not worth it to add another line item that takes more time.
