I have a model 41 with the A prefix that has had a scope on it. I want to remove the scope and put a rear sight back on it. This the model that has the rear sight mounted in a dovetail. I notice that Brownells shows a Millet sight for this model. Should I be able to install this sight unit without a gunsmith?

Thanks,
Julian

I don't think they're the same.

I finally found the correct rear sight for this model. The sight is nolonger available as a replacement from the factory but I found one from a used parts wearhouse. The Millet for the drilled and tapped barrel WILL NOT work, the dovetail is waay too wide,

Thanks for the advise.
