Great service frfom Altamont
Somehow I managed to lose a grip screw for a set of stocks and wrote an email to Altamont asking if I could purchase a new one. Within a few days I received, in the mail, a bag of several screws of varying size at no charge. Just wanted all to know that is company is very good with customer service!!

I have had that exact same experience from them after asking if a certain length screw was available.
I like the end of the screw to just sit flush or stick out minimally from the nut when tightened just right.
Excellent folks to deal with.

Their customer service is usually fantastic, but there is one guy, can't remember his name, that leaves a lot to be desired.

They never have the ones that I want in stock, so I order them and they usually are delivered before their time estimate.

My experience with them has also been good - in the past. But I have sent them 3 emails in the past week and they've just been one black hole. I'm started to wonder if they are closed. I hope not because I ordered grips from them almost 4 weeks ago and have heard nothing. Of course they charged my card right away.

They finally responded and said it they were in the final stages and it would be ready in a week or so. They originally said the order would take 1-3 weeks. Should have said 4-6 weeks. That would have been fine. No reason to get my hopes up. Better to communicate and be honest. Sorry for the rant.

Arrived last Saturday. Beautiful grips, well worth the wait.

Ha, ha, ha.
The photo was right side up but ended up upside down when I uploaded it. Do I need to make it upside down before I upload it so it ends up correct?

Irfanview
Anyone who takes, manipulates, and uses digital pictures needs this program:
IrfanView - Official Homepage - One of the Most Popular Viewers Worldwide
It's been around since before AlGore invented the internet and is simply the best free digital darkroom.
It is not Photoshop but is all I have ever needed to produce nice pictures from a digital camera.
I am not a professional photographer by any means but I do like to annotate some pictures for educational purposes:
