Default HAMMER QUESTION

Will an L frame hammer fit to a Model 65 revolver? I want to put a .375 hammer on a 65. I am thinking it should, but just checking.

Nope! An "L" frame hammer is too tall to fit a "K" frame. The hammer nose will bump into the frame above the hammer recess.

See here...
K & L Frame Hammers

Cheers

In the hammer nose versions, K,L,&N are 3 different sizes. Any one will not fit another frame.

In the firing pin in frame versions, K&L are the same hammer and N is a bigger size.

Hey, Kevin do you know what year your 65 is. If its pre-87-88 I am pretty sure I can take care of you. I still have your address. Bob
