Is it possible to remove laser etching from a stainless steel smith ?

yep , get some gray scotch-bright pads ( fine )
and some mothers mag polish and try to polish the gun without removing them,, they should be gone in an instant..

actually just the buffing with the scotch-bright pads will remove them
