I am considering taking a Smith revolver to Briley to have failure to carry up repaired. Has anyone ever used their repair department for a handgun? What was your impression of their work?

I am thinking about using them because I am in the Houston area therefore avoiding any kind of shipping hassle. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I live in Houston and they are the closest repair/smith in my area (they are about 5 miles away).

I have had them refinish a p7psp and consider it excellent work and I am still pleased 7 years later.

I have had them put sights on a P9 and that was another good experience.

I have had them fit a barrel to a P9 Ultra and the work was excellent. They even cleaned the older barrel.

My boss had them fit a rifle barrel. Excellent work also.

My boss had them fit and chamber a rifle barrel and a new stock. This they did not file the stock down enough for the bolt to close well so we took it back and they fixed it quickly.

My boss had them fit sights, change barrels and a few other odds and ends to various handguns. No problems.

Basically this is where I take my general smithing to. They are not "fast" per se but they are quality work and I use them routinely.

Hi from Katy by the way. The easiest way to get to them is get off at I-10 and Beltway 8 then take the first exit north out of I-10. Go west and then head south. It is really easy to get to.
