Just purchased one of the Sigma pistols mine was the sw40ve. Just couldn't pass up the great holiday deal with $50 rebate or 2 mag. deal. Right out of the box even I knew the trigger was gonna be a problem. The Internet turned up great resources as well as this forum

I saw many articles about modifications one could do themselves...which is ok but I'm sure there are some of you (like me) who were squeamish about tearing down and replacing or polishing parts.
Here's the good news for those who may not already know SW warranty centers will work on your Sigma trigger and its FREE ...yep Here's what you do on the back of your Instruction manual their are four warranty centers listed. The last one is in Texas LSG Manufacturing.
Contact Frank Smith phone: 325 885-2700. Tell him the problem you're having...he will give you instructions and shipping number to get the gun to him. For mine it was a 2 day turnaround!!
Just got mine back today and WOW what an improvement and best of all it was FREE and did not void any warranty with SW. Have just dry fired the gun since receiving it since the weather is bad right now...will update after hitting the range.

Thanks for the info. I was able to ship my SW40VE off yesterday thru FedEx and should get it back on Friday. S&W paid for everything. Warranty work is a wonderful thing.

I just told him the trigger pull was rough and heavy, He fixed both...very happy with the work and the turn around was two days!! Give him a call you'll be glad you did.

How light your trigger is now after S&W worked on it?

Thanks,

Bullitt

Frank Smith does excellent work at LSG as the S&W Warranty Center. He was able to reduce the trigger pull significantly. I don't have the actual reduction but I estimate that the pull went from +10 lbs to 7 lbs. Accuracy has dramatically improved.

The pistol was test fired at his facility and shipped back overnight. No cost to me and I'm extremely satisfied.

I had the same thing done and the "grittyness" of the trigger pull is gone... Great improvement.... especially for free!!!

I called Frank and I got my Sigma 40ve back in 7 days due to him being sick. But she breaks at 5.5 pounds and I got a new rear site to boot. My local shipping center charged me 1 dollar to hold it till I got off work to pick it up.

Mr Smith is the man when it comes to fixing those Sigma Triggers. Stop your shadetree gunsmithing and let a Pro fix it for Free.

Add one more to the list! Based primarily on what I have read on this thread, I called Frank today and will be sending my SW9VE to him in the next few days. He said his turnaround time is running about 4 days and then apologized for it taking so long! But that's OK, it has been too cold to get out the the range lately. Its just not that much fun when your fingertips are frozen!

Will come back when I get it back to let y'all know how it turns out.

Happy Shooting!
Scott

Are there any posts on this forum that have pictures of the trigger fix done professionally by S&W or someone else that knows what they are doing? I would love to see exactly what has been done. If so, point me in the right direction, or someone send me some photos.

I can not see any interal changes my self other than a great polish job on the sear and the reat of the metal trigger assembly parts.

Need to subscribe to this thread so I can call Frank, and get my trigger job done for free, under warranty...

Is Frank still doing these? I have 3 Sigma 40's that I would like to have the trigger smoothed out some.
