I've shot a couple of hundered rounds out of my 460 XVR. Since new, on some rounds, the trigger has a small but distinct creep before the hammer falls. It is kind of unnerving not knowing if a particular round is going to go off with a crisp trigger pull or not.

If I quickly dry fire the gun double action, and 6-8 times in a row, I can get 4-5 really crisp single action trigger pulls. Then the trigger creep comes back on some shots. It might be on every or on every other third shot.

I keep waiting for the gun to break in and "act right". The action is no where near as nice as my 625-9 MG that has a couple thou rounds thru it.

What gives?

What gives?

Are you saying the creep is on the single action or the double action? If it is on the single - Houston We Have A Problem-. The only thing on the single it that the inside are dirty or need lube. Drag is the problem if you can pull the trigger and then a delay on the hammer falling on single action. If the trigger moves on single the hammer should fall. Open her up and look for drag lines on the inside on the hammer.

The trigger creep is on single action. When firing single action, it is common for the trigger to slightly move without the dropping the hammer. If I watch very carefully, I can see the hammer move with the creep in the trigger.

Then to get the hammer to fall, it takes slightly more effort on the trigger pull than it took for the initial slight movement of the trigger.
