Default Model 19 rear sight

I picked up a 19-3 that looks like someone attempted to change/remove the rear sight blade and although the head of the adjustment screw is gone (the portion that snaps off whenever you replace the sight blade), part of the sight blade remains along with the remainder of the screw. Is there an easy way to remove the remainder of the sight blade and screw(portion that has the nut attached)? I thought about using a dremel to remove the small nut but thought some of you may have a better suggestion. Thank you.

Here's a small video I saw on how it's supposed to come apart..
YouTube - Gunsmith - How to replace rear sight blade on S&W revolver
You may have some rust or corrotion in the blades/screws channel & should put some penatrating oil on it to try an free it up & maybe coax it with a brass punch & a tiny "elf hammer"..
If the head is gone the screw should move out to the left.
I'm sure someone else with more experience will chime in with a better answer..
I also notice in the video that Larry puts the detent & spring in "Too Easily" & doesn't keep his finger over the detent as he installs it, easy way to loose these micro parts IMO..
Good Luck

Thanks for the reply HN. I know exactly what you mean on the screw and detent/spring. I've changed these things out before and what it looks like to me is that the screw was turned the opposite way that it should have been until the head snapped. I'll take a look at it later today
