Default radius/chamfer top strap

Has anyone ever heard of chamfering a topstrap? I just bought a 681 that has a ding on the edge of the topstrap that I want to remove. It would require chamfering and then blending for a radius of maybe 1/16 inch.

Filing a radius big enough to get rid of the ding would make the gun look rather odd. My suggestion would be to contact Jim Stroh of Alpha Precision in Comer, GA. Jim is a master pistolsmith who does fine welding, he is able to fill the ding and recontour the frame so that it will look like the damage never happened. Jim is a craftsman of the first order and a fine gentleman to do business with.
