I would like to find out if there is a difference between extractor springs on the models 39 and 39-2. I know the extractor is different. Brownells could not tell me and got nothing from S & W. Someone must know...
Thanks in advance for any help.
Bob Frank

Hello Bob, The 39 uses the early long extractor which is it's own spring. The 39-2 utilizes the pivoting extractor and uses a separate coil spring. Two completely different, non-interchangeable, types of extractors.
