PPC 45 S&W or 627?
anyone seen a 1917 PPC conversion or using the 627 8 shoot platform. The eight shot is supposed to have a short reduced trigger pull?

Tommy....if you are looking for a PPC gun....
I dont think a revo 8 shot will work for you since all stages are multiples of 6 shots.

6 SHOTS FOR A PPC REVOLVER IS WHAT IS ALLOWED. THERE IS ONE GUY AT THE PPC NATIONALS WHO SHOOTS A 45 CAL PPC REVOLVER. I CAN'T REMEMBER HIS NAME BUT HE IS A MASTER CLASS SHOOTER ( IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY) . I HAVE BEEN TOYING WITH THE IDEA OF BUILDING A 625 INTO A PPC REVOLVER MYSELF. JUST FOR GRINS. JP

A 6 shot 45 would be ok,Ive seen a couple 44 cal ppc guns, however Im not sure an 8 shot would be allowed, and if it was you could only load six at a time so you would have to deal with indexing the cylinder each time , In the fast phases it might cause a problem.

No pictures available on my computer but I have a Colt 1917 built into a PPC revolver. I'll get a pic this week-end.

The shorter ejector rod would be less than optimal on a PPC revolver. Unless you are planning on staying with a 2" barrel. Better choice is a revolver with a full length ejector rod.

Took me long enough but here are a few pic's of my colt New Service PPC gun, it's in .45 Colt, and was built by Austin Behlert. The grip frame has been modified to use Python grips.

Thanks for the NS PPC pics. I would love to shoot that one. I have a NS 38spl that would make an awsome project gun.

Jeesh! What was your highest score with that?
While I'm sure it is accurate, how much would it cost to shoot per year? Even though I spent Winter reloading for the match season it cost me a small fortune to shoot every year.

A good old model 10 with a 64 cylinder (for easy cleaning), bull barrel, action job, and a rib sight.

I never shot the gun in competition, it was a gun I picked up in a trade. Loads we're quite mild and cost no more than the ACP loads I used in my bullseye gun. I was using a 200G semi-wadcutter, the barrel is a .451 diameter and the bullets are from my bullseye stock.
