Default Looking for advice for scope mount for 686 .

I'm looking to set up a S&W 686 with a 4in. barrel for Bullseye matches. I want to put a rail on the pistol but i don't know what mount to use or which brand i should use. Hopefully someone here has a few suggestions.

Thanks

Just make sure you have a 3 screw top strap to secure it with 3 screws. The "T-slot" and sight mount screw alone won't hold it securely over time. I've seen too many with the single screw sheared off and have to be drilled out by a good machinist or gunsmith.

Had a local machinist/gunsmith drill and tap my 625.
This is a precision job that requires very precise hole location.
A machine with an X-Y table is best for precision drilling.
Expect to pay about $25 per hol
