Default Phoenix Gun Clubs

Good Evening – I hope this is the correct forum to post my request, if not please feel free to move it to the correct forum. My wife and I are going to be house hunting in Phoenix next week and while there I would like to check out places to shoot. I shoot Bullseye, Trap, and ICORE. The ideal club would have all three disciplines. The clubs/places to shoot that I’m aware of are Rio Salado, Phoenix Rod & Gun, and Ben Avery. The club I currently belong to in Missouri, has an active seniors program for lack of a better term, i.e., retired guys who get together during the week during the day and have informal Bullseye and IDPA competitions. Every club has its cliques, however, I’m looking for a club to get together with a group of guys who enjoy competing with one another, but don’t take life or themselves too seriously. Would appreciate your comments about these and other clubs, contact names would be great. Thanks, Tom

The only One even remotely close (how's that for an oxymoron) to me is Rio Salado.
I think there are various restrictions before you can reserve a range for private shoots.
Most notable are taking the safety course and competing in several structured matches.

Ben Avery does all three, plus several others (Cowboy, long range rifle etc). It's various clubs that do the specialized styles. ie, the range (the state Game and Fish) deals with the regular public range (pistols, rifles up to 100 yds). Clubs use other ranges and stages at the range for their individual styles.

Cactus Combat League is (I think?) one of the clubs that does some of the combat pistol stuff. Somebody does bullseye but I don't recall who. There's more than one shotgun club that uses the skeet and trap facilities there.

re: Scottsdale gun club...You might be able to do bullseye there, I don't know. It's an indoor, fixed station range. You won't be doing any IDPA or Trap there.

Ben Avery is top notch
I shoot there with my boy when I go visit him in Phoenix.
Go to the website and watch the safety video before you get there.
