Wanting to participate in USPSA competition for many months, I have been considering Single Stack with a Sig 1911 and Production with an M&P 9 Pro. After setting up three targets I practiced moving with two shots on each target, first with the Sig and then with the M&P. After several hundred practice rounds, the decision for me was a "no brainer". My shooting was far better with the M&P (did not say good )

Been searching on line and decided on a Comp-Tac International holster, will be ordering 3 more mags and 4 mag pouches. I have a leather gun belt (amish), been thinking about a Velcro belt, any thoughts from the community is appreciated.

It sounds like you are on the right track to me. I believe its always best to choose the gun that fits you, rather than the model the experts recommend. I too really like the Comp-Tac international holster. As far as choosing a belt, I own both a CR speed inner and outer velcro belt system, as well as a wilderness belt. I leave the CR speed belt permanently set up for my ICORE gear, and use the wilderness belt for IDPA and USPSA. Remember, it's all about what works best for you.
