Try number three to post a thread!

This just so I can edit something before the gremlins eat it.

Whilst our host and match director (who usually doesn't get to shoot) scored himself into the "60+" club with a 31 FP (iron sights) and a 32 FPAS (Any Sights) using a TC Contender in .22 Hornet, the revolver shooters didn't have scores anywhere close!

Plus, our own Sw282 was absent and missed! New IHMSA returnee and S&W revolver shooter, JW and his son were not in attendance either.

As for me, I had problems just getting on target, never mind holding in the vicinity long enough to let off a good shot. Watched round after round hit where the sights were pointed at release, unfortunately that often wasn't where I wanted them to go....

Kdiver58's "new" Model57 wasn't delivering the goods to his satisfaction, either. Having a hard time finding a good low recoiling load for that cartridge which will work out past 50 yards.

More later, hopefully, interwebs seem better today....

Spotted for 75vette a bit. Had some elevation control issues first time, but the re-entry looked much better. Unfortunately, not reflected in the score much, as due to the "digital" nature of toppling steel, there's no points for being close! Watched him draw a tight ring about the 75 yard 1/2 scale Turkeys, finally closing the circle with a neck hit. But then a beauty "center-center" hit! All this with cast bullets, which adds another level of difficulty.

Let's see if photos will work this time....

75vette also did target painting whilst in the midst of his shooting!

Kdiver58's new fangled .41:

Looks like he's got the first three chickens down.

BTW, there was also another S&W "41" entered, but of the .22 pistol variety, and in the small bore categories.

Thanks for the kind words J. The first entry was the coffee jitters talking. The rest was on me. I felt like I was struggling all day. I reckon I owe Ron some gravel!! Thanks for spotting and tips. I'm hoping for a better showing next month. In the meantime it's practice practice.
