Default Pistol box

Can someone recommend a pistol box and place to purchase. I constructed mine over 30 years ago and it weighs too much to carry comfortably. I see some cases made from aluminum. This w/b a range case holding a spotting scope on the flip lid like the
"old" Pacmyer cases. Thank you, Tom N.

Hi Tom,

I have seen them on the net (on rare occasion) and they seem to start at about $100 and work their way up. If I remember correctly, Champion's Choice (LaVernge/Nashville, Tn) carries them. For mine, I built mine out of luan (1/4" plywood) and small aluminum angle, and I will be covering it with a layer of fiberglass.

Here is the link Strongcase Pistol Boxes | Champion's Choice . Hopefully, I am not violating forum rules by posting the link.

Thank you Ed, seems like the 2 or 3 gun cases are out of stock. I built mine from 3/4 birch plywood, 3 shelves and space for scope. Do not need all this space ad weight. I will keep looking at these sites when a 2 gun box is available.

Tom,

They may actually be in stock, but at Camp Perry, since this is pistol week. I would suggest that you might give them a call to verify status, or to see when they anticipate being in stock.

Or, you could possibly deal directly with Strong Case?
