I don't know about the rest of you blokes, but my scores Saturday were wretched! Had a good time, though, until I got home. Achy and feeling hot & cold in short order. Couldn't get to sleep for some time, but made up for it Sunday.
Happy to see Sw282's folk visit. Hope they had a good time of it.
75Vette shot a 4" 629 "Bordello" style, among other entries. Was hitting quite low by the Rams. I think it's doable, but a good 75 yard zero might be required. Easier to hold under than over as the sights can completely obscure the target!
Maybe we can get some more S&W shooters recruited. Lisa took a brief look through the High Rise 629's scope, however, I'm not sure it would be the best thing for her introduction to Field Pistol. Too much potential for a scope cut to the eyebrow for one! It's bonked me in the face a few times, so....
(A drilled and tapped .32 mag 16-4 would be fun to try!)
Thinking it may be time to get back to .22s since ammo is available in quantity again. Did a Standing entry with a High Standard Pistol as I had old sight come ups. But after a good start on Chicken bank #1 it was all downhill. Sights just weren't clear and hold was not steady. Turkeys were laughing! Only one Ram.
Need to try the Hi Standard against the S&W 41 no-dash at some point. But freestyle in Production Class. Especially if the "wobbles" persist!
Or a 17 in Revolver. Could use the 617 8 3/8", just have to either record or forsake it's dedicated squirrel hunting sight setting.
