Default 9mm Shield in IDPA BUG division?

Is anyone shooting a Shield 9mm in the BUG division under the 2017 rules? Are there any extended baseplates that will meet the height requirement?

Thanks,
Whisper

Yes I do, and no they don't. But you can't load more than 6 rounds total in BUG, so using the 7 round magazines allows full legal capacity and faster mag changes than the 8 rounders.
The devil is in the details of the new IDPA rules, and a LOT of new people are showing up at the range with gear that makes no sense with the new rules.

Thanks for the info. I understand about the mag capacity; I was just wanting a tiny bit of extra length on the mag to enhance gripping. My pinky just barely fits a little bit on the 7-round mag and another quarter inch would be an aid in handling.

Thanks again,
Whisper
