Default How many PPC9's were built??

I've tried to find this in old posts but found nothing.

Does anybody know how many PPC9's were made? Which is more rare the 5 inch or 6 inch? When was the last year they made them?

Thanks for any details.

I have seen serial numbers in the 7XX range. 5 inch guns were built for a longer period of time.

The first guns were taken from lots destined for the European market, Wisco??? something like that, they didn't have the ppc or idp serial number. If you are who I think you are( Ken) that is a west coast gun probably and among the first out. The 5 inch gun with the shorter dust cover here has a similar number, it was among the first 5 inch guns.
