Default Charlie Clemens info

Last year I purchased a 28-2 that had been converted to 45 Colt by Clemens of Chino, CA. A Google search revealed very little about the man or his work. Anyone have anything to share.

The reason I ask is the workmanship and accuracy of this revolver is truly amazing. 50 yard groups are under 3" from a solid rest and a little over 4" just resting the butt on a solid surface using Hornady FTX 225 gr. factory loads. Did have to trim the tip of the bullets a bit because of the recessed cylinder. I'm not that great of a handgun shooter so these results were very satisfactory. Like to see what a really accomplished shooter could do with it.

I think this is your guy; he died just a year ago. - "He worked as a gunsmith for 56 years and owned North Valley Gun Shop in Chico for 42 years. Three national gun magazines published articles on his custom pistol work....",
