Smith & Wesson 625-2 Apex Custom 45 ACP/5"
I just purchased a Smith & Wesson 625-8 Apex Custom 45 ACP/4" from the following site that came with a lot of gear. I posted it all with pics in the 1980 to the Present All NON-PINNED Barrels, the L-Frames, and the New Era Revolvers.
I thought I would pass on there is another Apex Custom tuned 625 left for my fellow forum members. There is a Smith & Wesson 625-2 Apex Custom 45 ACP/5" (USED) for sale on Guns International.com. Smith & Wesson 625-2 Apex Custom 45 ACP/5" (USED) for sale I believe in passing it forward so someone needs to jump on this FAST.
Happy Shooting Everyone.
Rocky

This Smith & Wesson 625-2 has undergone custom tuning with Apex Tactical: level 4 action work to tune and hone the internal parts, bobbed the hammer, chamfered the cylinder, the double action is extremely smooth and has a total pull weight of 4 pounds 15 ounces. This revolver is outfitted with a set of Jerry Miculek smooth wood competition grips, after market fiber optic front sight and upgraded adjustable rear sight. This firearm comes with a Smith & Wesson soft case, a Comp-Tac International Kydex IDPA holster, a CR Speed Competition holster, a set of Pachmayr contoured rubber grips, the original rear sight, and 55 moon clips.

I would bet the sale of these has something to do with the USPSA revolver rule change mentioned in another thread. Just like when the NRA changed the distinguished Semi-auto rule to allow 6" guns. Huge advantage not just the extra inch of length. But the fact you could shoot the distinguished match with the same gun you just finished shooting 150 rounds through, so you would be all dialed in.
BUT it made the 5" distinguished guns everyone had obsolete, so people started selling them off cheap.
I bet there will be a lot of these revolvers for sale in the future.

Yup.
USPSA allowing 8 shot Minor revolvers and IDPA disallowing 5" barrels has obsoleted a lot of nice 5" .45s.

That is the type thing I just do not understand but then I love my new revolver.
Custom worked 625-8: Full trigger and action job consisting of the Apex Evolution IV parts kit and a level IV ICORE action work.
