Help me w range box set up.
I’m about to join a shooting range where I will have to carry everything from the parking lot to the benches. I just bought a large Rigid brand stacking tool box set that I am going to use as my box. My bench rest(s) will go in the large bottom box. I will include staple guns targets, snivel kit and a trauma kit.
I’m trying to determine what types of screwdriver sets etc have worked out best for everyone.

What's a snivel kit? Never heard of that one.

The Chapman screwdriver kit has worked well for me.

Apparently it's been around forever:
" In military parlance, snivel gear is equipment that is deemed not vitally necessary to deployment, designed to increase comfort rather than to further the mission.
For people outside the military, the things included in this category might seem peculiar; for example, insulated windbreakers are dismissed, while most civilians would argue that a comfortable jacket is in fact a necessity. It is common for soldiers on active duty to come up with lists of recommended snivel gear for their companions back home so that their companions will be prepared when they deploy”
The things I learn around here ...

If you've been to the range before , you should have an idea of what you might need . Different people are going to have different ideas of their own " needs " .

Range boxes vary greatly in size, configuration and capacity. I have an old Pachmayr box which I used for PPC.
To get to the inquiry, here is what I carry in it. I have enough tools, in a flat steel box, to take down any of my firearms as far as I would want to under field conditions. Some of these are specialized tools. Others are general tools for which I have a specific use (such as a 3/4" 12 pt socket for removing the bushing on my S&W 52). I am well past PPC now, so this tool kit has actually expanded to cover any firearm I may take out. I also carry two holsters that will accommodate my PPC revolvers (thus anything else, given their size), accompanying belt, speed loaders, speed loader holder, loading plates, sight blackener (spray and carbide torch), rosin bag, target pasters, ear protection. I have removed the tray which holds handguns upright in brackets. I keep my handguns in individual zip pouches. I can stack these on their sides on top of the flat tool box, which is much more efficient and affords more protection to the handguns. Ammo is carried separately since I use military surplus ammo boxes, always have. I don't carry a first aid kit (have that in each vehicle), nor any sort of snivel kit.
All of this is a lot of weight and bulk. But this box carries too many memories to ever give it up. My bride gave it to me right after we were married. Now, besides the scars from use, it is covered on the outside with decals and patches from my competition years, and on the inside of the lid, possible pins from the PPC matches, plus a spotting scope. In the thread in the Lounge on bullseye shooting, several shooters have gone from such boxes to range bags. Probably more practical since you can tailor the bag to accommodate only that which you decide to carry. That is what I do with camera bags.
In watching some of the cowboy action matches on the tele, it appears that (at least) a fair number of competitors use hand carts to transport all the necessary gear from their vehicles.
One warning, an immutable law of physics: Stuff expands to exceed the space allotted for it.

Maybe a three wheeled baby stroller as is popular with IPSC shooters.

No matter what goes in the range box, the tool you need is going to be at home.

For the rifle range or the shotgun range using multiple gauges, I use a modified baby stroller that carries about everything.
For the pistol range, I still use the classic old 2700/PPC shooter's box. My wife bought me this one 40 some years ago and it's still working well for the shooting that I do.

In my shooting box (used for rifle pistol and shotgun shooting) I keep cleaning gear, hearing protection (two types), ammo for the type of gun I'll be shooting, a small tool kit including Chapman screwdrivers, a small towel and not much else, If I have to take a firearm down for any reason which is not covered by the above it gets taken home for the repair. All of this is kept in a large plastic "ammo" type box purchased at the local farm store.

don't forget your paper plates, they make great targets and you can buy these targets anywhere.

I use one of these that has been modified a bit:
On mine I took the netting off and put a large metal basket in the lowest spot. In that fits a tool box, my spotting scope case, front bench rest, rear bag, rifle in case, ammo bag, drinks and targets. No idea what a "snivel bag" is, spent 24 years in the service and never heard that term. In fact will be using it this morning.

I really appreciate the replies. I bought a huge Rigid brand portable rolling stackable tool box. My bench rest and Chrono will go in the bottom box and the other two boxes should hold my staplers, targets, cleaning equipment, a small assortment of tools and maybe some pistols in zip up cases. I’ll post a pic when I get it loaded up.
I’ll have a gunshot wound kit(trained in LE trauma Med) and my “snivel kit” which will have bandaids, Tylenol, eyes drops, etc just a comfort first aid kit without having all that in the serious kit.
Again thanks for the replies.
Re: PPC boxes, I shot PPC when I first got into LE but we never had anything as fancy as those wooden boxes. Thanks for the memories.

is there a big demand for the gunshot wound kit in those parts ? But, then, better safe than sorry for sure ; and, as for the snivel kit did you include a hankie for when some young doll comes in and shots the jollies off you . . .

I shoot alongside CMP rimfire junior champs, most are female. I don't even bring my macho out of the car.

I tend to overpack when going to the range for a competition. Due to chronic lower back pain, I carry a number of small range bags/cases rather than one large bag or rolling tool box. Lifting these heavier bags/boxes out of the car would aggravate my damaged nerve and I'd end up having to shoot the match in pain.
