Default Diopter/eye shades for bullseye shooting?

I purchased this Hyskor pro optic kit some time ago and finally had a chance to use it yesterday.

This thing is rinky dink, to be kind. The diopter assembly will not stay where it is clamped, the system puts the diopter hole in the center of the lens and is no where close to being aligned with the eye. It is a monkey motion of inefficiency and ineffectiveness.

Are there other options out there to provide diopter pinholes either on existing safety glasses or stand-alone diopter safety glasses?

Thanks

Zeiss makes one, but big money at least comparably. I have one by Meritt (IIRC) that sticks to my glasses. Really never cared for it.

I haven't shot competitive Bullseye in many years, but, as I understand it, talking to some who still do, about the only way to be competitive these days is with the Red Dot. I don't think you need one of these devices if you have a Red Dot.

There are a number of docs who make shooting glasses with either a bifocal or trifocal (not sure about one of the infinite-if that's what they are called- lenses) which are reversed so you can see the front sight clearly through the bifocal lens which is on top, rather than on the bottom as with reading lenses.

I've heard good things about those lenses, but have never tried one.

These are about the best thing going, but their priced accordingly.
Champion-Brillen Theres probably a couple of places in the USA that handle them, like Champions Choice, Champions Shooters Supply.

I made my own. Cheap clip on sunglasses spray painted the shooting eye lens black and drilled hole at place of exact alignment with my eyesight path. Started with 1/16th in hole and went larger in very small steps until I found size hole that works best. Total cost, $6. Been using them for years. Another method is to take black electrical tape and punch hole with proper sized pin punch and apply tape patch to lens of regular glasses.

You can get mechanics grind safety glasses with your distance vision in the middle, intermediate up top and close vision at the bottom. IIRC, mine are +1.5 up top and +2.5 down below. Work fine, just tilt your head slightly forward. If you're one of those youngin's with only bifocals, you can get your magnifier top and bottom.

I don't think this item would be ideal for serious target shooting, but I have used one with complete satisfaction for many years - the Merit Optical Disc:
