Thumbs up Side Guard Holsters

Hello all S&W fans,

I started making holsters for my carry guns a 6946 and 66-1 2.5" because I could never find a holster that would work for me. You see I'm like a lot of us on the burly side and all off the shelf holsters don't have side protection. My tag line is "Holsters Made for Real People." So, one of my Minnesota based forums had a build your own holster training and I was hooked. Heck a bunch of members have some of my first holsters. Thank you members for your support over the years!

Here is one of my first prototypes for my 66-1 2.5". I still use this holster today to carry my 66. Notice the SGH and not the full logo.

Here is a diamond back rattle snake exotic I made for my 3.5" Officer 1911. Notice my dye jobs are much better now. No the model is not me and thanks to Oleg Volk for the pic.

I went from a couple basic holsters designs The Slide and Quick Clip to over 17 different holsters including exotics and 11 different belts and accessories.

I have even branched out to my own blog on holsters, accessories, how to carry, help for new carry people (in MN we don't have to conceal) and other items that you might be interested in so take a look.

Side Guard Holsters Blog – Holsters for Real People

I hit up Lee about a year ago and suggested (I'm sure he was thinking about it before) that "I would love to be a forum sponsor." Now I have my chance to support the forum and my business and became a forum sponsor. I look forward to being one for a very long time. Thank you, Lee!

Let me know if you have any questions and check back often for more updates. Thank you, Erik

I have an IWB quick snap and a pocket holster from Side Guard holsters. Excellent quality, very reasonably priced and Erik was a pleasure to deal with. He also offers several choices for us revolver carriers so that makes him OK in my books!

I had Erik make a cross draw holster for my Charter Pathfinder .22 three-inch.
It's a fine holster and I'd go to SideGuard again for another custom holster anytime.

Default Return Customer

Just received my 2nd holster from Erik this past week. I am very pleased with both holsters ( Touch Clip holster for a K frame model 64 with a 3 inch barrel and a double snap for my Browning Hi-Power). Most people I talked with recommended smaller guns for carry, but these are the ones I have and shoot well. These holsters make carrying these guns very comfortable and are very seasonably price.

I highly recommend Side Guard Holsters.

Thumbs up Side Guard Pocket Holster

Received this holster from Erik a couple of weeks ago. I've ordered several holsters from Erik and all are top-notch.

This one is a pocket holster for my North American Arms Guardian .32 ACP. Great quality holster in a small easy to carry package.

Thanks again Erik!

Default really bone head question re 627 holster

I am happy to be relatively new owner of a SW 627 PC. I don't "carry" it, concealed or any other way. But when going from car to range, or just taking a walk through the mountains, it strikes me as a bad idea to just stick it in my day pack or in my belt or hip pocket. How do I go about finding a quality holster that best fits this great eight-shooter? I've looked at web sites of a few well known brand name makers, but they don't make it easy to find their product by make model and number of the pistol you have. As mentioned, I'm not real interested in concealment (hard with this revolver regardless of holster I expect). Just looking for handsome, well made holster (leather preferred) that is a good match - in looks, materials and quality of construction- to this really great pistol.

Hi, what is the difference between the quick clip and the tuck clip? I want to begin to carry my MP45C soon. I have many holsters for many guns but yours interest me.
