Default Lemon Squeezer

hello im new to the site and im looking for info on S&W Lemon Squeezer. A friend wants to trade for services Plumbing related, but ive never done that, only bought through pawn so am learey about trade. I wrote serial # and looked for it via web and it came up clear if it is stolen i would like to return and if not how can i be safe and if safe how do i know value? #17xxx with matching # on barrel also under latch opener.

Welcome to the forum. I think you are describing either a first model .32 Safety Hammerless or a second model .38 Safety Hammerless. Can you post pics?

In kind of ordinary condition -- good operating condition but worn finish -- it might be worth $200-300, depending on other features. With the original finish in almost new condition, it could be worth up to twice that. If it has been refinished, its collector value has been ruined and it should be priced as an interesting old shooter.

Lots of variables here: caliber, barrel length, standard or upgrade stocks (pearl, for example), finish preservation.

If I am wrong about the basic model and you are describing a modern gun with a swing-out cylinder we need to know that. In that case it probably chambers .38 special.

If you are uneasy about this, maybe your friend should sell the gun and use the cash to pay for services.
