Default Letter of Authenticity question

I'm not trying to be a pain but just wondering about this. Back on may 5th of this year I sent in for letter of Authenticity. I know my check for $50.00 cleared on the 19th of May. How long does it take to get the letter?

Bob...The S&WHF's letters are separate from the factory letter you requested in May. However, the wait time for a factory letter is 16-20 weeks due to the backlog. Your request should be getting close to the top. Be patient.

Thank you for your reply. Just anxious. My Dad is 84 and I would like to let him know.

I don't know of any secret codes, but living nearby, I was lucky enough to buy a 686 from an employee. No special features or inlaid diamonds, but it has a very nice trigger.
