Mr. Jink's Book
I just bought a very nice copy of Mr. Jink's book and was wondering if he is still up to doing stuff like signing a book? Is there a way to contact him personally?

I know he would be most happy to sign it.
Send it to Smith & Wesson Historical Foundation Attention Roy Jinks P O Box 669, Warren, Massachusetts. Included a postage paid padded return envelope. I'll see that he gets it.

Hello Kinman, I sent my copy to Mr. Jinks in Feb. He was gracious enough to even write a nice personalized note. Turn around time was less than a day. I must have caught him at the right time. My son has all ready claimed it. Best, Mike

Is that the same book as "125 years with Smith & Wesson" that came with the 25-3? I almost kept the book when I sold my gun, it had some good info.

Bill Orr is a well known collector and Founding Member of the S&WCA. He is a great guy and good friend of mine. Roy is too.

Gentlemen,
I, also, have the Jinks book, as well as "Smith & Wesson, 1857-1945" by Jinks & Neal. They have been invaluable in my collecting.

Kinman, I notice the address given by Don is Don's P.O.Box.in Warren. So be careful when you get the book back signed. Don sometimes misspells Roys name when he signs these book! ( Just kidding , Don! I know you can spell it ) A little history: The S&W Collectors Assoc. had their first annual meeting at the S&W factory in 1977 and Roy received several cases of the first printing run of his book fresh from the printers just as the meeting started. They were quickly bought up by the attending, and Roy was busy signing them. I started to flip through my copy and noted the book binder had incorrectly assembled the pages in a mismatched order. Page numbers were not sequential, so you did a lot of jumping around to read the pages as they were written. We had to turn back our copies to the printer, so it took awhile before we received new copies correctly bound. Now I regret turning in my copy - it would be a super rare specimen today ! Ed.
