Help needed with factory letter UK payment
Hi. I’m from the UK and have just acquired a very nice Smith & Wesson 1st model Double action with target sights and factory case photos in my other post. My problem is getting a factory letter I have been online and completed the form but payment has to be made by check or postal money order in US funds, I can get a bank check but that will be in pounds I can do a bank transfer but need account details. Does anyone know how I can do this I’m sure there are many international owners of Smith & Wesson who would like letters both Colt and Winchester accept credit cards for their letters but the Smith & Wesson Historical Foundation seem to make it difficult any help / advice would be great. Many thanks Richard.

Go to the bank and purchase a bank check in US dollars.
They can do the conversion at the bank.
Send it off to SW.
They will send the letter to you.

Interesting question. I'm sure you're not the first to face this issue. When I get Webley letters from the UK, Richard Milner accepts credit cards, so that makes it easy. I wonder whether the SWHF is able to accept Paypal, which should be easy to set up.

Send a PM to Don, forum handle "Club Gun Fan". He works with Roy on the letters and is probably with whom you need to discuss this.

We are looking into Paypal at this time. Will take us a little time to set up. I know that this doesn't help today, but should in the future.

I can accept Western Union transfers, or cash. I have had many requests from overseas send cash. I send them an email as soon as I get their request to let them know I got the request.

Factory Letter modalities for German Gun Owners
Are there any news concerning payment-methods for people from overseas (Germany) interested in the factory letter?
Thank you so much for sharing!

We do have paypal available. If you will email me at [email protected] I will prepare an invoice for you to pay from your paypal account. Then you will need to send your Letter of Authenticity to the Warren, MA. address. Put a note on it that you have paid with paypal. There is an additional $10 fee to pay for the paypal fees.

Wondering why there is a $10 fee. When I send Paypal payments, there is no fee to me sending money to a friend or family member. Do they get hit with a fee?
