Default SWHF Letter Etiquette

I have received my first order of three letters from SWHF.
I am a lifelong shooting enthusiast but newish to S&W collecting.
(And the Forum)
I have noticed in my letters some details that are different from my revolver but I know to be original.
I also noticed a couple of typos, nothing big deal and certainly able to live with if needed, but still present.
I want to be as polite as possible because those folks do such good work for us and are so dedicated.
I also know that a feature or detail could simply be something incorrectly entered in the original record or something unrecorded but added before shipping such as a custom or Performance Shop feature.
So, to the question...
Is there an acceptable and polite way to open a dialog with them to correct and maybe reissue a letter?

On the one hand, given you've paid good money for a product, I figure you're entitled to a good product. There is one unfortunate fact of life we're obliged to live with: Some aspects of the letters reflect company records. Those records were created by folks with their needs in mind---not ours. So when your letter on a rather rare 8" .32 caliber First Model Single Shot comes back telling you it's a rather common 10" .22, you have to cut them a little slack. The person to blame for these fiascoes was obliged to get the gun shipped out, and get the money back in. Everybody was happy when that happened--everybody but us.

That said, you're not going to know if your problems can be rectified until you ask. It's been my observation they're quick to correct faults once they've been notified.

The information provided in a factory letter is based solely on the records of Smith & Wesson. If there are features of your S&W firearm that conflict with the information provided and you want them addressed or at least made known, I would send a letter discussing them to the same address where you sent your requests and provide a copy of the factory letter. Also, please be advised if your revolver has features not listed in the records (even though they are original), it is policy not to list them if they cannot be verified in S&W's records.

As for typos, that is just a minor issue most of us just live with and does not change the information in the letter (usually, but if it does, then it will be changed if brought to our attention).

If you want to email me your specific concerns, my email address is: [email protected] I would be glad to discuss them with you.

Thanks Guys,
After seeing your replies and answering a PM, I now have a better feel for how to proceed.
Doc, I will send you an email. I wasn't sure if anyone at SWHF would be seeing this and very thankful for direct assistance.
Have a Great Day
Sandman
