Default Historical foundation contact

I sent a email last week to the historical foundation to talk to someone about a letter for a 629 and what all it would cover but never heard back. Is there any other way to contact them

Send a PM to Club Gun Fan (Don Mundell) and he will give you appropriate direction/information.

A letter of authenticity or factory letter will tell you when and where your Model 629 was shipped (usually to a dealer or jobber). It will also confirm the barrel length, type of stocks (usually target stocks made of Goncalo alves), and any special features if they are factory original. It will also provide a history of the model describing when the first revolvers were made, etc.

This information is taken from the factory invoice which is all the information that is available.

Would the Foundation have any production records.

I inquired of S&W regarding production numbers. They referred me to the foundation. I wrote a few days ago.

The Foundation does not have production records. The only way we could determine how many of a certain model or configuration was shipped would be to examine each invoice and that would be a nearly impossible task.
