Default Caliber conversion spare cylinder work

My collection has a M25-2 and a M48-4 with spare cylinders in .45 Colt and .22 LR respectively.

The spare cylinders were purchased by me as new, old stock in unissued condition from a vendor who aquired quantities of S&W parts (i.e; Jack First) after the factory divested itself of them. The factory was kind enough to agree to fit them to my guns 20 years or so ago.

Would work of this sort be documented in a letter?

Thanks.

I would think that if it was done at the factory, that the factory would have recorded it and should show up in a letter. I do not know that for 100% certain though.

Service records are difficult to locate, but some are found, particularly if the dates and person making the request are known. So, the answer to your question is maybe.
